This position also assists with county liaison duties, fraud complaints and inquiries by law enforcement and other agencies, vital record archives, and various projects relating to the maintenance and monitoring of vital records. This position assists with duties related to technical assistance to county and city clerk's pertaining to the vital records facts on file and questions about policy and procedures, along with assisting them on how to process birth records through the State's MiCBCS system. This position also is responsible for determining eligibility and amounts of refunds distributed to remitters thru the Vital Records Application for Service/Birth Registry System (AFS/BRS), including working with MDHHS Accounting Division on non-automated refunds. This position is responsible for the Missing Children program maintained in conjunction with the Michigan State Police (MSP) and the State's county and city registrars' offices.
